The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' announcement said: Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will represent the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam to go to Singapore to attend the memorial service for former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew on March 29.

Previously, at noon on March 23, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung went to the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi to sign the condolence book upon hearing the news of the passing of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.
Expressing his emotion at the news of the passing of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the father of the Singaporean nation, on behalf of the Government and people of Vietnam and on his own behalf, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung sent his deepest condolences to the Government and people of Singapore.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung wrote in the condolence book: “The passing of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew is an extremely great loss, not only for Singapore but also for the ASEAN Community in general.
Mr. Lee Kuan Yew's great contributions to Singapore and his thoughts on nation building and development will always be a great source of encouragement for future generations.
The Vietnamese people will forever remember the sentiments and valuable help that Mr. Lee Kuan Yew gave to Vietnam. I hope that the Government and people of Singapore will soon overcome this painful moment.”./.
