Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung receives Speaker of the National Assembly of Korea

Warmly welcoming and highly appreciating the official visit to Vietnam by National Assembly Chairman Kang Chang Hee, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his delight at the positive developments in the Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership in recent times and believed that National Assembly Chairman Kang Chang Hee's visit would strongly promote cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that the potential for cooperation between the two countries is still very large, especially in economic, trade and investment cooperation. The Prime Minister affirmed Vietnam's consistent policy of always striving together with Korea to continue to develop the Vietnam-Korea relationship more deeply and effectively for the development of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hopes that the Korean National Assembly will support political cooperation, diplomacy, and people-to-people exchange activities between the two countries, as well as support the two governments in promoting cooperation in economics, trade, investment, tourism, and labor; promoting negotiations on the Vietnam-Korea Free Trade Agreement; and hoping that Korea will continue to provide ODA to Vietnam...
"The Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to cooperate, invest and do business effectively and long-term in Vietnam," Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed.
Besides, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hopes that South Korea will support peace and stability in the East Sea and support the settlement of disputes in the East Sea by peaceful measures on the basis of international law.
National Assembly Chairman Kang Chang Hee expressed his strong impression of Vietnam's rapid development and said that the results Vietnam has achieved in socio-economic development and international integration have enhanced Vietnam's role and position in the international arena.
National Assembly Chairman Kang Chang Hee affirmed that he will discuss with Korean authorities about the proposals mentioned by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and emphasized that Korea always attaches importance to promoting relations with Vietnam, especially in economic, trade, investment, education-training cooperation, etc.
At the same time, National Assembly Chairman Kang Chang Hee also suggested that the two sides further strengthen cooperation in energy, infrastructure construction, science and technology, aviation, etc.
