Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh begins activities at the 46th ASEAN Summit
On the morning of May 26, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other leaders began activities within the framework of the 46th ASEAN Summit and related summits held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 46th ASEAN Summit and related summits will take place from May 26-27 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, with the participation of leaders of ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and China.
With about 10 sessions, leaders will discuss in depth the directions and measures to strengthen intra-bloc cooperation, expand connections with partners, improve economic self-reliance and seek new cooperation drivers in the context of volatile regional and international situations.
One of the highlights of this summit was the signing of the Kuala Lumpur Declaration by ASEAN leaders on "ASEAN 2045: Our Common Future" and the adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 along with political-security, economic, socio-cultural and connectivity strategies.
On May 26, the Prime Minister is expected to attend the following events: Plenary Session of the 46th ASEAN Summit, Retreat Session of the 46th ASEAN Summit, Dialogue with Representatives of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), Dialogue with Representatives of ASEAN Youth, Dialogue with Representatives of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC); and a number of other important bilateral and multilateral activities.

The Vietnamese high-ranking delegation attended these summits with a consistent message of being proactive, responsible and ready to contribute more to the common work of ASEAN. Vietnam wishes to work with member countries to shape strategic orientations and specific measures to further consolidate the foundation of regional cooperation, while raising the position of the ASEAN Community in the coming period.
Over the past time, Vietnam has closely coordinated with ASEAN countries in the process of building many strategic documents, especially the document package "ASEAN 2045: Our Common Future".
Vietnam will also host the ASEAN Future Forum in 2024 and 2025, creating opportunities for open discussions on issues essential to the future of ASEAN and the region, thereby making substantive contributions to shaping ASEAN cooperation until 2045.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim welcomes Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the 46th ASEAN Summit and related Summits.
Just in April, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had two phone calls with the Malaysian Prime Minister to share assessments of the world and regional situation, and measures to promote bilateral and ASEAN cooperation.
With the theme "Inclusive and Sustainable", these conferences are expected to open up many new directions, contributing to consolidating the process of building the Community and adding momentum to the relationship between ASEAN and its partners.
