Prime Minister approves civil servant payroll in 2013

Accordingly, the total number of civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget in 2013 of administrative agencies, organizations and representative agencies of Vietnam abroad (not including the payroll of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and commune-level civil servants) is 281,714 payrolls.
Of which, 111,687 positions belong to ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and organizations established by the Government or the Prime Minister that are not public service units.
The agencies of the People's Council and People's Committee at the provincial and district levels have 161,950 positions.
Vietnamese representative agencies abroad have 1,077 staff.
In addition, there are 7,000 reserve civil servant positions, of which ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, organizations established by the Government and the Prime Minister that are not public service units have 3,000 positions and 4,000 positions belong to agencies of People's Councils and People's Committees at provincial and district levels.
The total number of staff of special-purpose associations operating nationwide is 674.
The Prime Minister directs the Minister of Home Affairs to be responsible for assigning civil servant payrolls to each Ministry, ministerial-level agency, agency under the Government, organizations established by the Government or the Prime Minister that are not public service units, and provinces and centrally run cities within the total civil servant payroll in 2013. At the same time, assign payrolls to each Association with specific characteristics operating nationwide within the total payroll in 2013 as prescribed above.
