Prime Minister approves civil servant payroll in 2015
The Prime Minister has just approved the payroll of civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget of state administrative agencies and the payroll of special associations operating nationwide in 2015.
Accordingly, the total number of civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget in 2015 of state administrative agencies, organizations and representative agencies of Vietnam abroad (not including civil servant positions of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, civil servant positions in public service units and civil servant positions at the commune level) is 277,055 positions.
Specifically, the number of civil servants in state administrative agencies and organizations in 2015 was 276,055, of which the number of civil servants in administrative agencies and organizations under ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and organizations established by the Government or the Prime Minister that are not public service units was 112,266.
The agencies of the People's Council and People's Committee at the provincial and district levels have 162,704 positions; the representative agencies of Vietnam abroad have 1,085 positions. In addition, there are 1,000 reserve civil servant positions.
The total number of civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget of state administrative agencies, organizations and representative agencies of Vietnam abroad in 2014 was 281,714 positions. Thus, the total number of positions in 2015 decreased compared to 2014 by 4,659 positions.
Also according to the Decision, the total staff of special-purpose Associations operating nationwide in 2015 remained unchanged compared to 2014, including 686 staff.
The Prime Minister directs the Minister of Home Affairs to be responsible for assigning civil servant payrolls to each Ministry, ministerial-level agency, agency under the Government, organizations established by the Government or the Prime Minister that are not public service units, and provinces and centrally run cities within the total civil servant payrolls in 2015. At the same time, assign payrolls to each Association with specific characteristics operating nationwide within the total payrolls in 2015 as prescribed above.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to transfer and arrange within the assigned civil servant payroll when establishing organizations or being assigned new tasks; maintain the same number of employees in public service units under their ministries, branches and localities.
