Türkiye has no obligation to permanently defend Europe against regional threats, Ankara's forbearance is over, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said.

Thủ tướng Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ tuyên bố Ankara đã mất hết kiên nhẫn, không có nghĩa vụ bảo vệ EU
Turkish Prime Minister declared that Ankara has lost all patience and has no obligation to protect the EU.

"Türkiye is the biggest guarantee of European security against regional threats. If Türkiye had not confronted regional threats in the last five or six years, Europe would not have stood firm. But our patience has its limits. We are not obliged to defend Europe all the time," Yildirim said at a meeting of the Turkish Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Association in Ankara.

The Turkish prime minister also noted the rise in xenophobia and Islamophobia in Europe. "Racism is on the rise in Europe, and right-wing forces are gaining ground," Yıldırım said.
