"Putin's real plan is to destroy Ukraine and revive the Soviet Union. All previous agreements reached with Russia - in Geneva, in Normandy, in Berlin and in Minsk - were either ignored or brazenly violated by the Russian authorities," Prime Minister Yatseniuk said in a statement.

Earlier, speaking to the press during his visit to Mongolia, the Russian President said that he and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had quite similar views on how to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Mr. Putin outlined seven steps, including prisoner exchanges and establishing a humanitarian corridor for refugees and relief goods./.
