Prime Minister requests to strengthen control and prevention of Covid-19 epidemic during September 2 holiday
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 1108/CD-TTg requesting People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to strengthen prevention and control of Covid-19 during the National Day holiday on September 2.

The 4-day National Day holiday can easily increase the risk of disease transmission. Learning from the recent April 30 holiday, the Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to promote a sense of responsibility with the goal of doing everything for the health and lives of the people; continue to focus on leadership, direction and strengthen the organization of thorough, strict and highly effective implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures in the area, specifically as follows:
1. Localities currently implementing social distancing:
Continue to thoroughly educate all levels of government, especially at the grassroots level, on the spirit of direction and strict implementation of the contents stipulated in Resolution No. 86/NQ-CP, Official Dispatch No. 1099/CD-TTg dated August 22, 2021 and Official Dispatch No. 1102/CD-TTg dated August 23, 2021.
Strengthen the strict, thorough and decisive implementation of social distancing in the spirit of "wherever you are, stay there"; absolutely do not allow large gatherings, do not allow people to move or go out on the streets to increase during the National Day holiday on September 2; strictly handle according to the law cases of violations of regulations on disease prevention and control.
Organize well the work of ensuring social security, security, safety and social order so that people can voluntarily and confidently participate in supporting the work of disease prevention and control. Absolutely do not let the social security supply chain be broken, ensure early access to medical care, remotely, from the grassroots during the holidays and carry out social supervision.
2. Other localities:
Strengthen the application and strict and complete implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures according to regulations, especially the requirement to implement the 5K message; resolutely stop organizing festivals, unnecessary large gatherings, activities in public areas, entertainment facilities, tourist destinations, spiritual places and strengthen inspection and control, not allowing large gatherings at these locations.
Heads of Party committees and authorities at all levels are responsible for leadership, direction and epidemic prevention and control activities in the area; strengthen and regularly inspect and supervise the implementation of epidemic prevention and control activities; strictly handle violations according to the law.
Organize 24/7 on-call duty for forces participating in the fight against the epidemic to promptly detect and handle problems arising from the epidemic; absolutely do not allow subjectivity, negligence, or loss of vigilance, which could cause the epidemic to spread and break out like during the April 30 holiday.
Requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to urgently direct the implementation. Ministries, branches and localities provide maximum support to localities in the work of epidemic prevention and control./.
