Implement well policies for people with meritorious services and social beneficiaries during the 2013 Lunar New Year

(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon (January 5, 2013), the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and related sectors and units to listen to and give opinions on the Report on the implementation plan of policies for social subjects in the province during the Lunar New Year 2013. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs presented a plan to implement policies for social beneficiaries in the province during the 2013 Lunar New Year. It is expected that during the upcoming Lunar New Year, regular preferential subsidies will be paid to over 83,500 beneficiaries with the amount of 110 billion VND; Tet gifts for beneficiaries with the amount of 35.573 billion VND; subsidies for social protection beneficiaries with 45 billion VND; requesting the Central Government to provide 3,977 tons of rice to 90,868 hungry households; longevity wishes and gifts for 37,919 elderly people with the amount of over 7.5 billion VND; support for poor households with 11.7 billion VND...

Previously, to effectively implement policies for meritorious people and social beneficiaries in the province during the 2013 Lunar New Year, the Provincial People's Committee issued documents directing and implementing plans to visit and give gifts to meritorious people, support poor households, social beneficiaries, and children in especially difficult circumstances; and directed sectors and levels to effectively implement the proposed plans.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong requested all sectors and levels to seriously and promptly implement, ensure progress, and mobilize maximum human resources to ensure social security during the Lunar New Year. Activities must be rich, practical, imbued with national traditions and the morality of "remembering the source of water", expressing humane feelings and gratitude to families of meritorious people, units that provide concentrated care for policy beneficiaries, and help poor households and people in difficult circumstances.

Salary regimes, preferential allowances, support policies and Tet gifts for people with meritorious services, social protection beneficiaries, children in especially difficult circumstances and poor households, and workers in enterprises must be implemented before December 25, 2013. All levels, sectors, socio-political organizations, enterprises, and relevant organizations call on and encourage cadres, civil servants, and workers to voluntarily support or take from the welfare fund to organize delegations to visit, give gifts, and encourage families with meritorious services to the revolution, support poor households and families and children in especially difficult circumstances, ensuring that policy families, poor households, children in difficult circumstances, and social protection beneficiaries have a warm and meaningful Tet.
