(Baonghean) -The XDCTGT4 Corporation is a construction enterprise under the Ministry of Transport, responsible for the construction and maintenance of traffic works nationwide, with the majority of its workers working directly at construction sites. Recognizing that this is a hard, arduous job with difficult working conditions, the Party Committee of the Corporation pays great attention to and cares for the lives of its workers. The Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the leadership of the Corporation consider the full implementation of obligations, policies and regimes for workers to be the top priority for the units.

Implementing the Party Committee's Special Resolution on caring for workers' lives at construction sites and the General Director's Regulation on building workers' housing, up to now, at construction sites, workers have been living in prefabricated houses and prefabricated houses with air conditioning. Labor protection equipment is provided according to reality; some construction teams also hire people to wash workers' protective clothing; meal allowances are supported; television, newspapers, and internet are provided to the team level and workers' housing. Some units also arrange table tennis, volleyball, and badminton courts right in the project area, creating conditions for workers to participate in sports and entertainment activities. Every two years, the unit organizes the General Corporation's Mass Art Performance, attracting hundreds of non-professional actors from member units to participate; In 2012 alone, the contest to learn about the 50th anniversary of the Corporation was organized in the form of dramatization, mass art performance and photo exhibition with the participation of 25 mass art troupes with 142 performances, more than 500 actors, creating a vibrant cultural and artistic movement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Corporation's tradition.

In addition to taking care of and ensuring full benefits for employees, the Corporation has done well in social work, humanitarian charity. Some typical activities in the past time include: supporting people in flood-hit areas with hundreds of tons of rice and more than 2 billion VND; renovating and upgrading martyrs' cemeteries of the Department of Construction in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh with over 4 billion VND; building a house to cover the graves of Truong Bon Youth Volunteers' martyrs with 2.3 billion VND; donating two memorial altars at the tombs of General Secretary Le Hong Phong and Heroic Martyr Vo Thi Sau at Hang Duong Cemetery (Con Dao); donating a car to the Center for Supporting Agent Orange Victims in Ha Tinh province with 400 million VND. Every year, the Corporation participates in the programs "Warm Border Tet", "Tet for the Poor", giving gifts, visiting policy families, families in difficulty with hundreds of gifts with a total value of 300 million VND/year. Establishing the "Repaying gratitude" fund, building dozens of gratitude houses and "Union shelters". Awarding scholarships to excellent students, supporting poor students with excellent academic performance, donating over 10,000 notebooks to primary school students of 14 mountainous schools in 3 districts of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. Registering to build the "New Rural Area" program until 2015 with an investment of about 4 billion VND, helped Quy Chau build a kindergarten in Chau Nga commune worth over 460 million VND. Organizing the Cienco4 tennis tournament to raise over 350 million VND to help poor families and Agent Orange victims in Vinh City. Through the emulation movement of labor production, more and more advanced and typical collectives and individuals have emerged in studying and following Uncle Ho. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its tradition, the Corporation held a conference to honor 50 typical individuals who have had many outstanding achievements in labor production and studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. They are diligent high-level workers, enthusiastic young engineers, technical staff, and management staff who stick to the construction site day and night to bring the projects to the finish line ahead of schedule. They are simple but noble examples, with a strong influence on thousands of workers who work day and night on the projects and are dedicating their efforts and intelligence to contribute to the development of the Corporation.
