On August 1, 1930, the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam published the document "International Red Day August 1" on the occasion of the anniversary of International Red Day August 1, the day of struggle against imperialism. This is the only and earliest document that remains to this day, clearly stating: Published by the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
This document, when it was first published, caused a great deal of public opinion in contemporary society and had a great power of encouragement for the masses of workers and peasants in our country to rise up to fight against imperialist war, protect peace, protect the Soviet Union, and support the national liberation movement. Based on the above-mentioned event of great political significance, in 2000, the Central Ideology and Culture Committee submitted and was approved by the Standing Committee of the Central Party Politburo (VIII tenure) to make August 1st of each year the traditional day of the Party's Ideology and Culture sector. In 2007, after the Central Ideology and Culture Committee and the Central Science and Education Committee merged into the Central Propaganda Committee, the Central Party Secretariat (X tenure) decided to make August 1st of each year the traditional day of the Party's propaganda work.
Over the past 81 years, propaganda work, especially ideological work, has always been highly valued by Uncle Ho and the Party. Closely following and being absolutely loyal to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, the team of propagandists has done a good job of propagating, educating, mobilizing and organizing the people to carry out revolutionary tasks; affirming and enhancing the Party's pioneering role in politics, theory, intelligence, culture and revolutionary ethics.

In particular, the Campaign "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example" has been widely and practically implemented by the propaganda team in the whole province, contributing significantly to educating revolutionary ideals, enhancing national pride, and promoting the spirit of self-reliance among the people.
The province's propaganda work has made an important contribution to the implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks. Party building and political system building have been enhanced; People's trust in the Party's innovation has been consolidated; Political security has been maintained, and social order and safety have been ensured.
However, the negative impact of the market economy has had a significant impact on the ideology, ethics, and lifestyle of a number of party members and the people. Meanwhile, in many localities and units, ideological work has not received due attention, is not sharp, not convincing, and not close to reality. A number of cadres working in propaganda still lack knowledge and skills, are far from reality, and have not met the requirements of the new situation.
That reality requires the team of people doing propaganda work to clearly identify their responsibilities; constantly study and improve their knowledge and skills, practice political qualities, and perform their tasks well; be more proactive in collecting information; orient public opinion, and effectively propagate the Party's guidelines, policies, and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws to all classes of people.
