Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City) is the main author and leader of the research project on "IVF transfer of Fresh or Frozen embryos in women without polycystic ovaries" published in the world-famous medical journal The New England journal of medicine (citation index 72,406).
This is the first article of Vietnamese Obstetrics and Gynecology in this journal, the research was conducted entirely in Vietnam.
Previously, when sharing withPeople's IntelligenceRegarding the results of this study, Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan said, “There are two methods of transferring embryos through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the world. That is transferring fresh embryos into the uterus or freezing the embryos first, then transferring the thawed embryos into the uterus.
Many people think it is a very normal thing because the technique of transferring fresh embryos or freezing embryos has been performed for a long time. But the question of which method is more effective, less costly, has fewer complications, and a faster pregnancy time has not been answered satisfactorily. Therefore, our research team sought the answer by comparing the two treatment methods for this problem.
A representative of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City said that according to the school's regulations, any article published in an international scientific journal will be rewarded. However, the reward level will vary based on the article's Impact factor (VND 2 million/1 index).
Dr. Ngoc Lan is the first author and also the person who responded to all the peer reviews, so the reward is doubled. Up to now, this is the paper with the highest reward in the history of the school.
What is special is that although the author of the article was awarded, he did not accept it but donated it to the school's youth scientific research fund. This fund is used to award international scientific articles but does not pay cash but covers travel expenses to attend international scientific conferences and seminars.
