Shopee Cup 2024-2025: CAHN dramatically defeated the Thai champion

Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) won a dramatic 2-1 victory over Thai team Buriram in the opening match of Shopee Cup 2024-2025.

Although being underestimated, CAHN Club entered the game very quickly and confused the Thai League 1 champion.

In the 3rd minute, Phan Van Duc received the ball outside the 16m50 box and immediately shot, making goalkeeper Siwarak startled and unable to block.

Conceding an early goal, Buriram immediately rose up to attack and pushed the Vietnamese representative back to their home field.

Despite holding the ball and attacking a lot, Buriram players could not penetrate the concentrated defense of CAHN Club.

During the remaining time, the two teams played tit for tat but neither side scored any more goals.

Lee Mi-rae is one of 64 female players competing in the world's top 3-cushion carom tournament held in Hanoi, with a record prize of up to 6.6 billion VND.

The 2024 LBA LPBA SY Bazzar Hanoi Open 3-Cushion Carom Tournament is the first destination to host a tournament within the global PBA Tour system managed by the Korean Professional Billiards Association (PBA). 192 of the world's top players, including 27 Vietnamese players, gathered in Hanoi to compete in the 3-Cushion Carom event from August 19-26.

The total prize for the men's tournament (128 players) is 250 million won, equivalent to 4.7 billion VND (the champion receives 100 million won, equivalent to 1.9 billion VND); the prize for the LPBA women's tournament (64 players) is 100 million won, equivalent to 1.9 billion VND (the champion receives 40 million won, equivalent to 750 million VND).
