Standing Committee of Provincial People's Council surveys environmental management and protection work
(Baonghean) -On the morning of October 17, the Provincial People's Council survey delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a working session at Nghe An Water Supply One Member Co., Ltd. to survey the implementation of voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 6th and 9th sessions of the 16th Provincial People's Council on environmental management and protection.
Nghe An Water Supply One Member Co., Ltd. has factories and stations of the Company exploiting surface water, treating and supplying water for people's drinking and daily activities using modern technological lines, meeting safety and environmental protection criteria with a water supply production capacity of over 80,000 m3/day and night. Environmental protection has been paid attention to, especially the control of wastewater and solid waste. Drainage ditches, manholes and sludge settling tanks are arranged reasonably, waste is transported by specialized vehicles to the collection site according to regulations. Discharging sludge into people's fieldsIn previous years, the factories and water stations have been repaired. The company has coordinated with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to establish a register of source owners and build a new warehouse to store hazardous waste.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts of the company in improving the capacity of water supply for people's lives and strengthening environmental protection at production facilities. He noted that the company needs to overcome difficulties, choose clean surface water sources so that water quality meets prescribed standards, expand the water supply area, regularly control mountainous stations and areas prone to pollution, ensure conditions for operating licenses and waste management according to the provisions of law.
