The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee gave opinions on the content and plan of the Provincial Cooperative Union Congress and the activities of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations.

(Baonghean) -On the morning of March 11, under the chairmanship of comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a working session to give opinions on the plan for the 4th Congress of the Union of Cooperatives, term 2011-2016; and the operation of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations.

Comrades Tran Hong Chau - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Organizing Committee, Inspection Committee, Mass Mobilization Committee, Provincial Party Committee Office and a number of provincial-level sectors participated in the meeting.

After listening to the reports from the leaders of the relevant agencies on the preparation for the 4th Provincial Cooperatives Union Congress, term 2011 - 2016 and the results of the activities of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations; the opinions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of some departments and branches, comrade Phan Dinh Trac concluded, emphasizing: To build the Provincial Cooperatives Union into a strong socio-economic organization, the issues of concern at this Congress need to be organized closely, clearly defining the key topics and specific action programs. It is necessary to identify the objects and types that need to focus on investment and development in the coming years.

Regarding the organization and personnel work, it is necessary to carry out seriously, ensuring the correct process and quality. The new executive committee needs to be built with qualified, young and capable cadres, giving priority to those who work at the grassroots level to be structured into specialized agencies and members of the Union. Regarding the activities of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, comrade Phan Dinh Trac highly appreciated the outstanding and effective results of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations in the past time, which have contributed to building good friendship relations with friendly countries; acting as a bridge, promoting the process of learning, investing in socio-economic development of foreign organizations and units in the province. Many humanitarian sponsorship projects of non-governmental organizations have been implemented with practical significance.

He also noted that in the coming time, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations needs to strengthen and expand people-to-people foreign relations, propagate and promote the image of Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular to international friends, thereby strengthening mutually beneficial friendly cooperation relations. Through the Department of Planning and Investment to approach projects and programs, to introduce to organizations and partners to seek support from outside, especially projects and programs of non-governmental organizations implementing hunger eradication, poverty reduction, social security, promoting sustainable development in the province.

At the working session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also spent the remaining time discussing and agreeing on a number of other important contents.
