The Provincial Party Standing Committee works with the Steering Committee for major holidays

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, March 28, under the chairmanship of comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee had a working session with the Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays in 2012.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has issued a plan to celebrate major holidays in 2012. Among them are three events at the national and provincial levels. These are: the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Hong Phong (September 6, 1902 - 2012) at the national level held in Vinh city and Hung Nguyen district (expected to be broadcast live by Vietnam Television); the 110th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Dang Luu (May 5, 1902 - 2012) held in Yen Thanh district and the 100th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Tiem, the first Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee (November 10, 1912 - 2012) held in Nam Dan district.

To prepare well for the celebrations, the Provincial Party Committee has directed relevant departments and branches to develop a plan to promote propaganda work on mass media, deploy key activities of practical significance such as: Scientific seminars on revolutionary careers; competitions to learn about life and career; meetings with historical witnesses; publishing press publications; making documentaries on the socio-economic development situation in the homeland of revolutionary predecessors; organizing cultural and artistic activities; building and embellishing memorial sites and historical sites; activities to return to the roots, pay tribute to leaders... creating effects and spreading power among the masses.

After listening to the opinions of the members of the Steering Committee, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Hong Chau requested the Steering Committee to clearly assign responsibilities and tasks to the relevant sectors in the contents built in the plan. Particularly for national events, it is necessary to consult early to work with the central sectors to have thorough preparations; urgently direct localities to complete the work of embellishing relics and memorial sites in the homeland of revolutionary leaders. He also noted that propaganda and education activities need to be organized in many diverse forms, with focus and key points, creating deep impressions and spreading widely among the masses.
