Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan inspected and wished a Happy New Year to the Military Region 4 Command

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2015, on February 4, a delegation from the General Department of Politics led by Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan inspected combat readiness and extended New Year greetings to the Military Region 4 Command and several units in the Military Region 4.

Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, presented Tet gifts to the Military Region 4 Command.

At the Military Region 4 Command, Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet, Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of the Military Region and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Military Region Command received and worked with the Senior Lieutenant General.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Military Region Command, Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet reported on the implementation of tasks in the past time and the key tasks that Military Region 4 is implementing.

In 2014, Military Region 4 performed its tasks well, receiving high appreciation from the Ministry of National Defense; internal solidarity, unity and harmonious resolution of relationships; trust with the people and localities was maintained and strengthened; close relations with Laos were maintained.

In preparation for the Lunar New Year of At Mui, the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command have made a tight plan and implemented relevant documents to ensure a safe, economical, and highly combat-ready Tet. On this occasion, the Military Region Command organized 5 delegations to visit and inspect units, focusing on units in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas.

Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, inspected combat readiness and encouraged soldiers at the air defense position of Battalion 14, Brigade 383, Military Region 4.

Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan congratulated the results that the Military Region 4's Armed Forces achieved in 2014. At the same time, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, emphasized that in 2015, the socio-economic situation will have many advantages but still has many potential risks causing instability in political security... so all levels must strengthen propaganda and education work, and provide information orientation for officers and soldiers.

In 2015, Military Region 4 needs to promote tradition, closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities of provinces in the Military Region and Laos, unite, unify, compete to successfully carry out all assigned tasks, including preparing well for Party congresses at all levels and celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Military Region 4 (October 15, 1945 - October 15, 2015), determined to successfully complete assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of the Ministry's agencies and the Ministry of National Defense, as well as the trust of the people.

Before visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to the Military Region 4 Command, Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan visited and wished a Happy New Year to the Military Command of Nghe An province; Coast Guard Cluster 2; inspected combat readiness and wished a Happy New Year to Brigade 283; and presented gifts to some policy families in Nghe An province and some agencies and units in Thanh Hoa province.
