The National Assembly Standing Committee summarizes the extraordinary session and contributes many important contents.
The 33rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee opened on the morning of May 13, taking place over 3 days (May 13-15) and will discuss many important contents; including giving opinions on preparations for the 7th session and summarizing the extraordinary session.
Specifically, on the first day, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and the State budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in the first months of this year.
Another content that the National Assembly Standing Committee also commented on was the Government's submission on the allocation of the medium-term public investment plan using State budget capital for the 2021-2025 period and the 2024 capital plan for tasks and projects using the increased central budget revenue in 2022 that have completed investment procedures.
In addition, delegates will also discuss the National Marine Spatial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
On May 14, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; and the investment policy for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period.
At the same time, delegates will give opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020 of the National Assembly on piloting the organization of an urban government model and a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city; the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province.
Another content discussed by delegates on the second working day of the Standing Committee was the ratification of the document of accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Consider the highest military rank with some general positions of the Ministry of National Defense
On the last working day of this session, delegates will give their opinions on the report on the results of monitoring the settlement and response to voters' petitions sent to the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly; review the report on the National Assembly's petition work in April 2024; and give their opinions on the draft report synthesizing voters' and people's opinions and petitions sent to the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Another content of interest is that delegates will give their opinions on the preparation for the 7th Session, and summarize the 7th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Next, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the highest military rank for a number of positions and titles of officers at the general level under the Ministry of National Defense as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 15 of the Law on People's Army Officers.
The Government's draft report on thrift practice and waste prevention in 2023 and the State budget settlement report in 2022 are also notable contents discussed at this meeting.
