After 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU, Session XVI, the socio-economic development of Cua Lo Town has developed rapidly, most of the targets have been achieved and exceeded the plan. The economic structure has developed in the right direction.
The annual economic growth rate is from 15-20%, in which services develop rapidly from 56.5% in 2006 to 62% in 2010. Infrastructure is built quite synchronously. Currently, Cua Lo has completed detailed planning of 5/7 wards. Completed and publicized planning of high-end tourist areas to the East of Binh Minh Street, attracting investment with many large projects such as the Northern Lan Chau Island Eco-tourism Area, the Southern Resort Area in Nghi Hai Ward, the 18-hole Golf Course Hotel Complex... In 2010 alone, the town welcomed over 1.85 million tourists to visit and relax. Currently, there are over 40 projects in the area with a total investment attraction of over 70 billion VND. Of which, the mobilized source from the people accounts for 8.85% of the total investment capital...
After listening to the comments of relevant sectors, comrade Phan Dinh Trac spoke highly of the comprehensive socio-economic development of Cua Lo town in the past 5 years. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Cua Lo needs to develop a detailed plan for functional areas in the direction of sea tourism associated with the urban space of Vinh, Nghi Loc, Nghi Xuan. On the basis of the approved plan, it is necessary to expand the construction of unique, attractive tourist, entertainment, resort areas, and large shopping centers to serve tourists. Actively develop tourism service industries such as handicrafts, seafood processing, clean vegetables and fruits, and replicate household economic models. Focus resources on essential works of transport infrastructure, electricity, and public health services. Strengthen investment mobilization, thoroughly handle projects that are not implemented or are slow to implement; Ensuring a green, clean, beautiful environment, building a culture of behavior and business culture towards a green, clean, civilized, friendly, and hospitable tourist city.
Next, the Provincial Party Standing Committee continued to listen to and give opinions on the results of 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 11-KL/TU, Session XVI, on socio-economic development of Nam Dan district. In the past 5 years, Nam Dan's economy continued to have a good growth. Social culture has many positive changes. The average growth rate of production value reached 10.1%/year. The economic structure shifted in the right direction. In which, the proportion of the construction industry increased from 15.47% in 2005 to 21.88% in 2010. The average income per capita increased from 5.9 million VND/person in 2005 to 16.3 million VND/person in 2010. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production developed quite comprehensively in the direction of commodity production. The total food output reached 85 thousand tons in 2010. The proportion of livestock value in agriculture increased to 45% in 2010.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Phan Dinh Trac acknowledged the good development in all aspects of Nam Dan district, and noted that in the coming time, Nam Dan needs to focus on implementing 5 issues well: First, doing well in political and ideological work, creating consensus and democracy among the core leadership team. Second, strongly developing high-quality agricultural products such as pigs, fish, rice, vegetables, fruits... and good agricultural models. Third, promoting the attraction of tourism projects other than spiritual and ecological tourism, needing to invest more in culinary tourism. Fourth, exploiting the advantages of Uncle Ho's hometown to attract investment projects for socio-economic development. Fifth, planning reasonably between production development and ensuring environmental landscape. Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the district, assign relevant departments and branches to consider and resolve.
