Nam Mo Hydropower Plant generates electricity from Unit 2
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 20, in Ta Ca commune - Ky Son district, Nam Mo Hydropower Plant held a ceremony to generate electricity for unit 2. Attending the ceremony were comrades Pham Anh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee; Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of some departments, branches in the province and representatives of the leaders of Ky Son district.
Nam Mo Hydropower Project started construction in April 2010 in Ta Ca Commune, Ky Son District, with Nghe An Energy Development Corporation as the investor and Construction Corporation 36 - Ministry of National Defense as the direct contractor. Nam Mo Hydropower Project has a total investment of nearly 500 billion VND. After 2 years of construction, the plant has so far generated 2 units with a capacity of 18 MW.
At exactly 9:30 this morning, comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, pressed the button to officially generate electricity for Unit 2 of the Nam Mo Hydropower Plant.

Nam Mo Hydropower Project, when put into operation, will annually supply 67 million to 75 million KW of electricity to the national grid. The generation of Unit 2 will meet the electricity demand in the region and this is also a project that brings economic efficiency, increasing the budget revenue for the locality. At the same time, it contributes to reducing the power shortage of the Vietnamese electricity industry.
