Switzerland to resume circulation of 1,000 franc note
The 1,000 franc note continues to circulate because cash remains one of the most important payment channels in this wealthy European country.
Swiss Central Bank Governor Thomas Jordan said on April 6 that the 1,000 franc note - one of the world's most valuable notes (equivalent to 1,041 USD) will continue to circulate in the country's monetary system.

The statement came as European finance ministers called on the European Central Bank (ECB) to consider tightening security around the use of the 500 euro ($567.4) note amid concerns that such high-value notes would make it easier for terrorists and other criminals to carry cash.
The Governor of the Swiss Central Bank Jordan said that the 1,000 franc note will continue to be in circulation because cash is still one of the important payment channels in this wealthy European country./.
