(Baonghean) -The 2011 Clean Up the World Campaign was launched globally from September 16 to 18. To practically respond to the 2011 Clean Up the World Campaign, on August 3, 2011, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 4468 requesting provincial-level mass organizations and requiring provincial-level departments, branches, and sectors, and People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns in the province to focus on directing and organizing the implementation of the following activities:

1. Organize propaganda and education campaigns for officials and people to raise awareness of environmental protection, create public opinion and social pressure to condemn acts that cause environmental pollution; propagate, disseminate and encourage the use of environmentally friendly technology and products that consume less fuel, limit the use of raw materials and fuels that generate greenhouse gas emissions and pollute the environment; 2. Direct affiliated agencies and units to organize propaganda, mobilize and educate party members, union members, association members, officials, employees and the community to comply with the Law on Environmental Protection; propose the implementation of environmental protection programs and projects, focusing on recycling, waste treatment, environmental improvement, etc.;

3. Organize rallies and practical, specific activities in response to the 2011 Clean the World Campaign such as: Cleaning residential areas, agencies, schools, production and business establishments; clearing water flows, dredging canals and drainage systems; building systems to treat water, air and solid waste pollution in each enterprise, densely populated area and each household;

4. Hang banners, billboards, posters, and slogans on environmental protection in public places, on main streets, at workplaces, and in crowded places to remind everyone to take action to protect the environment;

5. Timely commend and reward individuals and organizations with many achievements in environmental protection and sustainable development... In excellent cases, prepare a dossier and send it to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Natural Resources and Environment) for consideration and submission to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for consideration of awarding certificates of merit and prizes.
