Actively cultivate and practice following Uncle Ho's example in Anh Son

(Baonghean) - After more than 1 year of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in Anh Son district, there have been many positive changes, creating a strong and profound change in self-awareness of self-cultivation, training and following Uncle Ho's example in each agency and unit.

Model building, effective methods

Village 9, Hung Son Commune (Anh Son) has 118 households with 410 people, over 85% of whom are Catholics. The whole village has 35 hectares of industrial tea plantations and 37 hectares of land and fields. Implementing Directive 05, the Party Cell of Village 9 has included thematic content on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in monthly and quarterly activities of the Party Cell.

Accordingly, the Party Cell followed Uncle Ho by mobilizing parishioners to convert crop structure on the land area for high income in order to implement the spirit of the Resolution of the Commune Party Committee on converting crop structure on the land area. Secretary of the Party Cell of Hamlet 9, Hung Son Commune, Chu Van Thanh shared: "The Party Cell thoroughly grasped and followed Uncle Ho's example. First of all, the Party members in the Party Cell took the lead in converting their family's land area. Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, up to now, 100% of households in the village with land area have switched to growing sugarcane. The first sugarcane harvest showed higher productivity and economic efficiency than growing other crops, and the villagers were very excited."

As for the Women's Union of Anh Son district, it has implemented a pilot model of "following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" by mobilizing members and women to "Raise plastic pigs" and support "Rice savings jars" to help women and children in difficult circumstances in Anh Son town, Khai Son commune and Hung Son commune.

From the experience of implementing these models, the District Women's Union replicated them in communes in the district. In particular, it focused on selecting more specific and effective objects and forms of assistance, such as ensuring food for some elderly and single women throughout the year, or supporting boarding meals for poor students with special difficulties; supporting breeding animals to help poor women develop livestock. In addition, the District Women's Union also deployed to the grassroots a program to build garbage pits at home, with low cost, easy implementation, and high applicability, typically the Women's Union of Linh Son commune, the Women's Union of Vinh Son commune...

Along with the collectives, in the process of implementing Directive 05 in Anh Son, many typical examples have emerged. For example, the economic development model of veteran Bui Dang Than's enterprise in Branch 3, Veterans Association (CCB) of Anh Son town. Promoting the traditional nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", CCB Bui Dang Than dares to think and dares to do in production and business; annually creating jobs for 8-10 workers with an average income of 5-6 million VND/person/month.

In particular, skilled workers who wish to return to their hometowns to start their own businesses are given loans for construction materials to do business, produce, and stabilize their jobs to ensure their livelihoods. Or, Mr. Lang Thai Hoa - Head of the Front Committee of Cam Hoa village, Cam Son commune, is a typical example in mobilizing ethnic people to help each other eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, preserve the national cultural identity...

Setting an example for cadres and party members

In order to practically make studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle an important and regular task in Party organizations and each organization in the political system, and a voluntary action in each cadre, Party member and all activities of all levels, sectors and localities, immediately after receiving the directive document from the superiors, the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Party Committee promptly directed Party committees at all levels to add the content of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle to the entire-term action program of each Party organization.

The District Party Committee identified that education through setting examples, promoting the spirit of responsibility and setting examples, and proactively taking the lead in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle is a fundamental solution to strongly promote the movement of studying and following Uncle Ho widely among cadres and party members in the entire district.

Accordingly, key leaders and heads of agencies and units are required to seriously implement Regulation 101-QD/TW dated June 7, 2012 of the Secretariat on "Responsibility to set an example for cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels"; each key leader at all levels has also developed a plan to cultivate and practice Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through specific and practical actions associated with tasks and fields of work.

In addition, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee also assigned each leader and cadre in charge to go directly to the grassroots to guide the grassroots Party Committees and Party cells in selecting and building models suitable to the characteristics of each locality and sector; increase dialogue to listen to and resolve difficulties and obstacles for the grassroots; assign comrades in the Standing Committee and the District Party Committee to attend activities at the Party cells to listen to comments on Party building work, personnel work, and thoughts, aspirations and pressing public issues that need to be resolved. The comrades in the District Party Committee who are Party Committee Secretaries are responsible for directing the subordinate Party cells to improve the quality of activities, and at the same time participate in activities with the Party cells.

The enterprise of CCB Bui Dang Than, Anh Son town creates jobs for many workers with stable income.

Cadres, party members and civil servants, especially key cadres and leaders, are oriented towards the grassroots, close to the people, understand the people and are responsible to the people.
