See off 2 students competing in the Asian Physics Olympiad

On the morning of March 16, at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a farewell ceremony for two students Nguyen Huy Hoang and Nguyen Trung Hung who participated in the Asian Physics Olympiad.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An and the Association for Promotion of Education.

In the 2010-2011 national exam for excellent 12th graders in Nghe An province, all three first prizes were awarded to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. Notably, Nguyen Huy Hoang and Nguyen Trung Hung, students of class 12A3, are two of the eight members of the national team participating in the upcoming Asian Physics Olympiad.

The Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) is an annual physics competition for high school students from Asia and Oceania. The first APhO was held in Indonesia in 2000. The 12th edition will be held in late April in Israel.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong praised the students' results, wished them to make every effort and be confident to succeed in the upcoming exam; at the same time, congratulated the teachers and students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted on their good results in the recent national excellent student exam.
