Striker Huynh Nhu: 'This goal is dedicated to fans across the country'
After scoring to help the Vietnamese women's team win the Bronze Medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship, striker Huynh Nhu sent her gratitude to the fans.
On the afternoon of August 19, the Vietnamese women's team concluded their journey at the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship with a 3-1 victory over Thailand in the third-place match. Goals from Hai Yen, Huynh Nhu and Bich Thuy helped coach Mai Duc Chung and his team win a convincing Bronze Medal, amid the enthusiastic atmosphere of thousands of spectators on the field.

After the match, Huynh Nhu shared her emotions: “Today, I really feel very happy. The whole team told each other that we must win to dedicate to all the fans who came to the stadium to cheer, as well as the spectators across the country who always follow the team. Today, there were a lot of spectators, creating a wonderful atmosphere and giving us more strength.”

The captain of the Vietnamese women's team also emphasized that the goal scored on August 19 had a special meaning: "Huynh Nhu would like to dedicate this goal to all the fans.
