On the night of November 18, on his way home, SLNA midfielder Hong Viet was suddenly slashed multiple times by a group of people with knives, seriously injured and had to be hospitalized.

According to a friend of Hong Viet, on the evening of November 17, Hong Viet went to sing karaoke on Nguyen Sy Sach Street (Vinh City, Nghe An) and collided with a group of young men and was retaliated against and intimidated by the group.
