Midfielder Nguyen Hai Long: 'Vietnam team is determined to defeat Malaysia'
Midfielder Nguyen Hai Long affirmed that the entire Vietnamese team is fully focused on the match against Malaysia, determined to win 3 points at Bukit Jalil Stadium.
On the afternoon of June 6, the Vietnamese team entered their first training session in Malaysia, officially starting the preparation process for the important match against the host team in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. The whole team quickly got back into the rhythm after a long journey, ready for the big challenge at Bukit Jalil Stadium.

Sharing with the media before the training session, midfielder Hai Long clearly showed his concentration and determination before the key match. Having just experienced a memorable experience when participating in the Southeast Asian All-Star team to play a friendly match against Manchester United in Kuala Lumpur, Hai Long remained calm when talking about this experience: “I am very happy to receive positive comments from everyone after the match with MU. But I know where I am. My goal and the whole team's goal is the upcoming match with Malaysia”.

The player currently playing for Hanoi FC also emphasized that professional factors are the most important, instead of paying attention to the pressure from the stands or the symbolism of big stadiums: "As a professional player, any stadium is the same. The most important thing is that you have to focus and try to contribute to the overall play to help the team win."

When asked about living conditions in Malaysia, Hai Long said he and his teammates are in good spirits: “Although the journey is long and tiring, we are very excited when we go to the training ground. Everything here is fine.”
On the opposing side, the Malaysian team has many new additions, especially naturalized players. However, Hai Long said that the Vietnamese coaching staff has carefully analyzed: “We respect all opponents, but the important thing is that the whole team must focus on their own playing style.

Playing away from home is very difficult, but the Vietnamese team is eager to extend their unbeaten streak against Malaysia and aim to win all 3 points."
The match between Malaysia and Vietnam will take place at 8pm (Vietnam time) on June 10 at Bukit Jalil Stadium. This is considered an important match for both teams in the race for a ticket to the next round.
