Midfielder Phan Van Duc: 'I will try to play well to return to the Vietnam national team'
After the match between Hanoi Police Club and Buriram United, midfielder Phan Van Duc said he will try to play to return to the national team.
On the evening of August 22, Hanoi Police Club had its opening match in the 2024/25 Southeast Asian Club Championship, against Buriram United. This is considered a very strong opponent, as this team is the champion of the Thai League last season. In this match, midfielder Phan Van Duc scored to help Hanoi Police Club win with a final score of 2-1.

Speaking after the match, midfielder Phan Van Duc said: "I am very happy that the whole team won, following the tactics that the head coach had set out.
Today, Hanoi Police played well. I feel that the match between Hanoi Police and Buriram Utd is like the match between Vietnam and Thailand, thanks to that, the whole team tried their best. I have to thank coach Polking for trusting me to start."

When asked about the newly announced list of the Vietnamese national team, the player from Nghe An shared: "Seeing my teammates called up to the national team, I myself am very sad. But I also try to use this as motivation to practice hard, try to compete hard to be back on the team."
Previously, midfielder Phan Van Duc returned to the field in the second leg of V-League 2023/24, after a long period of treatment and recovery from injury. This is considered a difficult time for the player from Nghe An.

“I have returned to play since the second phase of the V-League. The recovery period has been very difficult for me. Luckily, I have family, friends, and teachers who have encouraged and always been by my side to help me overcome that period.
My immediate goal is to try to practice to regain my form and position at the club. I just focus on playing well at the club first, if I have the opportunity to be called up to the national team, I will continue to try harder" - Phan Van Duc said./.
