Coach Dinh Van Dung, head coach of Thanh Nien Vietnam U21 and also head coach of SLNA U21, said that the Sydney FC head coach met him directly to discuss. The Sydney FC coach highly appreciated the technique and playing ability of some young Vietnamese players, especially Phi Son.

He also wanted to invite Phi Son to play for the Sydney FC youth team. In addition, the Sydney FC head coach also asked coach Dinh Van Dung to quickly introduce some young Vietnamese players to play in the Australian youth football tournament.

In Phi Son's case, Sydney FC is willing to pay a salary of 3,000 USD/month plus a fee to SLNA for Phi Son to play for Sydney FC in about 7 matches in a tournament for Australian youth teams, lasting until January 2013.

Sydney FC's coaching staff said that as soon as they return home, they will send a letter to VFF and Phi Son's home club, SLNA, to officially discuss hiring the player to play abroad. As for SLNA, the Nghe An club said they will create the best conditions for Phi Son to play abroad if they receive a written request.

After a season of playing in the 2012 First Division, Phi Son has now been promoted to SLNA's first team, but SLNA is still willing to let Phi Son go abroad so that their player can gain experience from advanced football. Previously, striker Van Quyen was also offered to play in Japan but could not do so due to the mechanism.

Later, striker Cong Vinh was also invited to play abroad when he was still playing for SLNA, but when Cong Vinh went to play in the Portuguese National Championship, this player was already a member of HN.T&T. If Phi Son's transfer contract is successfully implemented, this will be the first time SLNA has exported a player they trained abroad.
