Continuing the Prime Minister's activities in the Kingdom of Belgium
According to VNA, continuing his official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, on the evening of October 13 and the morning of October 14 (Vietnam time), Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had meetings with President of the Belgian Senate Sabine De Bethune and Vice President of the House of Representatives Françoise Schepmans, visited Brussels City Hall, met with the President of the Belgian French-speaking Community and the President of the Parliament of the Belgian French-speaking Community.

During his meeting with Senate President Sabine De Bethune and House of Representatives Vice President Françoise Schepmans, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the development of relations between the two countries' parliaments and the contributions of the Belgian Senate and House of Representatives to strengthening Vietnam-Belgium relations in recent times. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the two leaders of the Belgian Parliament agreed to strengthen cooperation in all aspects and at all levels, promote development cooperation and increase trade and investment exchanges between the two countries.
The President of the Senate and Vice President of the Belgian House of Representatives warmly welcomed the visit to the Kingdom of Belgium by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government, emphasizing that the visit marked a new positive development in the Vietnam-Belgium relationship. The two leaders of the Belgian Parliament affirmed that the Belgian Senate and House of Representatives will actively support the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides highly appreciated the close cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium at multilateral forums, agreed to strengthen coordination to promote Vietnam-European Union (EU) relations, urge the EU to soon ratify the Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA), soon recognize full market economy status for Vietnam and complete negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the EU.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung conveyed the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung to the leaders of the Belgian Senate and House of Representatives to visit Vietnam and attend the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) General Assembly in Hanoi.
* At Brussels City Hall, Mayor Ivan Mayeur warmly congratulated and expressed his honor to welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government to visit the City Hall.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung thanked the Brussels City Council and the Mayor for their welcome. The Prime Minister emphasized that Brussels - as the political, administrative, economic and cultural center of the Kingdom of Belgium, the headquarters of the EU - is truly an active participant in strengthening Vietnam - Belgium cooperation as well as Vietnam - EU relations, and is the place where many meaningful activities take place, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam, its land and people to Belgian and EU friends.
Mayor Ivan Mayeur affirmed that Brussels is ready to contribute more to the cooperation between Vietnam - Belgium and Vietnam - EU relations. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung wished Brussels prosperity and the friendship between Brussels and Vietnamese localities to grow stronger.
* Meeting with the President of the Belgian French-speaking Community, Rudy Demotte, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung assessed that the 2013-2015 Cooperation Program and the cooperation orientations of the Belgian French-speaking Community with Vietnam are very practical, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Prime Minister Rudy Demotte expressed their delight at the increasingly effective cooperation between Vietnam and the Belgian French-speaking community, not only at the bilateral level but also at the international level, notably the coordination and mutual support within the framework of the Francophone Organization, an important bridge connecting Vietnam and the Belgian French-speaking community over many years.
Prime Minister Rudy Demotte emphasized that the Belgian French-speaking community highly values its relations with Vietnam, highly values the effectiveness of cooperation, and wishes to continue implementing many new cooperation programs and projects with Vietnam; stating that the Belgian French-speaking community will continue to actively contribute to the overall development of Vietnam-Belgium relations.
*At the meeting with President of the Parliament of the French-speaking Belgian Community Jean-Charles Luperto, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the effective implementation of cooperation projects between the two sides and thanked the Parliament of the French-speaking Belgian Community for its active contributions to the development of relations between Vietnam and Belgium in general and cooperation between Vietnam and the French-speaking Belgian Community in particular.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the Parliament of the French-speaking Belgian Community, together with the Community's authorities at all levels, to continue supporting the enhancement of all-round cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium as well as promoting relations between the two sides' parliamentary bodies.
President of the Parliament of the French-speaking Belgian Community Jean-Charles Luperto expressed his pleasure to meet Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on the occasion of the Prime Minister's official visit to Belgium and recalled the deep impressions during his visit to Vietnam two years ago.
He assessed that the relationship between Vietnam and the French-speaking Belgian community has made many positive strides in recent times; he said that the two sides can expand cooperation from traditional fields such as culture and French language teaching to new fields such as cooperation between universities and vocational training cooperation...
