Continue to consult people about awarding artist titles
Information from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on July 10 said that implementing the 8th Plan to consider and award the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in 2015, the Ministry received 114 dossiers requesting the title of People's Artist and 416 dossiers requesting the title of Meritorious Artist from 46 Councils at the ministerial and provincial levels sent to the State Council.

The State-level specialized council to consider and award the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in the fields of theater, dance, music, cinema, radio and television met in accordance with the procedures prescribed in Decree No. 89/2014/ND-CP of the Government.
In the music field, there are 24 qualified profiles submitted to the State Council for consideration of the title of People's Artist and 103 qualified profiles for consideration of the title of Meritorious Artist. In the cinema field, there are 10 profiles for People's Artist and 13 for Meritorious Artist.
In the field of dance, there are 12 People's Artists; 55 Meritorious Artists, including young artists who are admired by the public such as Tran Ly Ly, actress and choreographer of the Ho Chi Minh City Dance College under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; choreographer Ta Thuy Chi, Ho Chi Minh City Dance College, dancer Dang Linh Nga, Ho Chi Minh City Lotus Music and Dance Theater...
In the field of theater, there are 55 profiles eligible for the title of People's Artist, including artists who are familiar to theater lovers such as Meritorious Artist Hoang Quoc Anh (Hanoi Cheo Theater); Meritorious Artist Vu Tu Long (Military Cheo Theater, Ministry of National Defense). Meritorious Artist Nguyen Tien Dat, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu (Hanoi Drama Theater); Meritorious Artist Tran Van Nhuong (Tran Nhuong) of the People's Public Security Drama Troupe, Ministry of Public Security, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Quoc Truong... In this field, the number of profiles eligible for the title of Meritorious Artist is 190.
In the field of radio and television, there are 6 applications for the title of People's Artist and 25 applications for the title of Meritorious Artist.
According to the provisions of Point c, Clause 1, Article 16, Decree No. 89/2014/ND-CP of the Government "publicly announce the award results on mass media within 15 days", the electronic information portal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism posts a list of eligible dossiers to submit to the State Council to collect public opinions before the State-level specialized Council completes the dossier to submit to the State Council according to regulations.
Previously, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also sought public opinions on 57 dossiers proposing the title of People's Artist and 145 dossiers proposing the title of Meritorious Artist from 26 grassroots councils sent to the Ministerial Council of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
