(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Culture and Society, Provincial People's Council proposed that the process of supplementing, adjusting and restoring items in the Kim Lien Relic Site must preserve the soul and cultural identity of the village.

That was the content emphasized at the working session of the Culture - Society Committee, Provincial People's Council with the Management Board of Kim Lien Relic Site on the afternoon of April 20 according to the plan to supervise the implementation of the Committee's conclusions according to the Program to supervise the State management of historical - cultural relics implemented in 2014.

Also participating in the monitoring were leaders of the Department of Culture - Sports, Nam Dan district and Kim Lien commune.

Every year, Kim Lien Relic Site welcomes 1.5 - 1.8 million domestic and foreign tourists to visit, travel, commemorate and learn about the sacred land and talented people - the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh.

Since 2004, Kim Lien relic site has been continuously invested in to exist, preserve and develop tourism, create new landscapes and appearances, and activities at the relic site have become more organized and professional. Research, collection, inventory and preservation of artifacts have been focused on and the value of the relic has been well promoted.

In particular, some shortcomings and limitations at the relic that the Culture - Social Committee and the Provincial People's Council proposed for supervision in 2014, such as environmental sanitation; street vendors, soliciting tourists; inadequacies in the arrangement of service kiosks in the relic..., were rectified.

Based on the actual survey, on behalf of the monitoring delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture - Society, Provincial People's Council requested the Department of Culture - Sports, Kim Lien Relic Site Management Board, Nam Dan District People's Committee and Kim Lien Commune People's Committee to pay attention to coordinating to resolve a number of difficulties and limitations that are arising.

The immediate task is to propagate and mobilize people to implement the policy of relocating the inappropriate business kiosks right at the entrance to Uncle Ho's maternal hometown, ensuring the solemnity of the relic; at the same time, reasonably plan new business locations.

The process of supplementing, adjusting and restoring items in the relic site needs to preserve the soul and cultural identity of the village, limit concreting; continue to research innovation in management and activities at the relic site, in order to exploit the maximum values, worthy of a special national relic and a key tourist destination.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society, the Provincial People's Council also proposed that the Management Board of the Relic Site consider the intention of bringing the business of local specialties to the neighboring houses of Uncle Ho's house that have been restored; at the same time, strengthen propaganda about the behavioral culture of the people, creating a good impression of the image of Uncle Ho's hometown people in the hearts of tourists.

Ms. Lan also suggested paying attention to business orientation of services in relics, especially local products and souvenirs; quality of cultural services; focusing on food safety and hygiene with catering services./.
