Destroyed 77 poor quality, counterfeit and smuggled goods
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 11, the Provincial Market Management Department destroyed 77 low-quality, counterfeit, fake, and smuggled goods with a total value of more than 450 million VND.
The goods in this destruction were confiscated by the Market Management Teams under the Provincial Market Management Department from the beginning of 2015 until now. Among the goods destroyed in this destruction, the most are children's toys with 43 types. In addition to some violent products such as plastic guns, plastic swords, water guns, there are also many smuggled toys of unknown origin.
Besides children's toys, there are 6 types of goods: smuggled cigarettes, smuggled alcohol, fake branded shampoo, poor quality powdered milk, functional foods of unknown origin...
Poor quality goods, smuggled goods, and counterfeit goods are destroyed by burning or crushing; the rest are destroyed by burial.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duan - Acting Head of the General Planning Department, Market Management Department said: In the coming time, in order to implement the Official Dispatch No. 90/CD - BCĐ 389 dated July 13, 2015 of the Head of the National Steering Committee 389 on launching a peak period of fighting against smuggling and counterfeit goods production and trading, the Provincial Market Management Department will continue to coordinate with other forces to strengthen inspection and control to promptly detect and handle violations to prevent prohibited goods and smuggled goods from entering the market, contributing to market stability. In the immediate future, we will focus on inspecting the market of moon cakes and children's toys, especially violent toys smuggled from China.
