Destroy large quantities of smuggled and counterfeit goods
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 17, the Department of Investigation Police on Economic Management Order and Official Positions of Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the province's functional agencies to destroy a large quantity of counterfeit and smuggled goods that were discovered and seized recently.
The destroyed goods include over 25,000 fake incense sticks of Chi Thanh and Duc Hung brands, 120 bottles of foreign wine of Chivas and Ballantines brands, nearly 3,000 packages of fake detergent of OMO and ABA brands weighing over 1,000kg, 48 boxes of children's toys weighing over 1,000kg, 100 sacks containing raw materials to produce fake detergent weighing over 2,000kg, over 22kg of OMO and ABA detergent powder bags, 4 packaging and laminating machines and 1 scale. The total value of the goods to be destroyed in this batch is up to hundreds of millions of VND.

During this time, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods appear more and more, with diverse designs and types, and are produced more and more sophisticatedly, with high technology, making it very difficult to detect with the naked eye.
From now until Lunar New Year, the Department of Criminal Police on Economic and Public Security Affairs of Nghe An Province will coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen inspections to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin, contributing to stabilizing the market and ensuring that people can use products that ensure quality and food safety.
