Car consumption increased 18% over the same period
In the first 11 months, total market sales increased by 18% over the same period to 85,061 units, of which passenger cars increased by 23% and trucks increased by 14%.

According to the report of the members of the Vietnam Automobile Association (VAMA), in November, the whole market sold 10,148 cars, including 3,988 cars and 6,160 trucks. This is the 8th consecutive month that the sales of the whole industry are higher than the same period last year.
Domestically assembled car production reached 8,306 vehicles, up 6% compared to the previous month, while the number of imported cars was still very large, reaching 1,842 vehicles, but down 25% compared to October.
The Northern market had the strongest consumption in the month with an output of 4,231 cars, accounting for 45.5% of the market share, while the Central market had the most modest consumption, accounting for only 12.4% of the market share, and the Southern market accounted for 40.3% of the market share.
Passenger cars and commercial vehicles are still the two most popular vehicle types, followed by 4WD/multi-purpose vehicles. In November, 3,490 passenger cars were sold, 3,412 commercial vehicles and 2,230 4WD/multi-purpose vehicles were sold.

VAMA Chairman Jesus Metelo Arias said that with the current recovery trend, the whole industry could reach 108,000 vehicles compared to the forecast of 100,000 vehicles at the beginning of the year.
