Vinh market currently has 1,500 households with stalls selling votive offerings and agricultural products, all of which have been severely damaged. The votive offerings, fruits, and agricultural products were soaked in water, causing a terrifying scene and serious pollution. When the water receded, the traders had to mobilize all their manpower to clean up and stabilize their shops.

Mr. To Thanh Nhan, Head of Vinh Market Management Board, said: Vinh Market has suffered historic flooding. The highest level of flooding was 1.5m, the lowest level was 50cm. According to preliminary statistics, 1,500 households suffered damage, the most serious being agricultural products, votive offerings, beans, peanuts, rice, and sesame with 100% damage.
70% of votive offerings were damaged, 50% of confectionery, 30% of fabric, 30% of traditional medicine, 50% of salty products, 30% of household appliances, the remaining damage was in food, plastic bags, and steel.
Estimated damage is about 3 billion VND.
