The body of the last victim of the collapsed broadcasting tower was found.
On the night of September 30, despite facing a power outage, lack of light, and loss of phone signal, the forces of the Military Command and the Quang Binh Provincial Police still actively commanded and synchronously deployed rescue and relief work for the collapsed transmission tower of the Dong Hoi Radio and Television Station (Quang Binh) under the Voice of Vietnam. Afterwards, the forces recovered the body of the last victim from the rubble.

According to initial information, the victim found and his body removed from the rubble of the accident at 12 o'clock last night, September 30, was Nguyen Chi Thanh, an officer of Dong Hoi Radio and Broadcasting Station.
Earlier, at around 4:15 p.m. on September 30, a strong storm toppled the 142-meter-high transmission tower of Dong Hoi Radio and Television Station in Nam Ly Ward. The tower fell on the two-story headquarters of the station and caused several nearby houses to collapse.

In this accident, two people died, one person was seriously injured, lost an arm, and had his leg and other arm broken. All of the victims were staff of Dong Hoi Radio Station. The fallen broadcasting tower also crushed two passenger cars at Dong Hoi Bus Station and completely blocked Tran Hung Dao Street connecting with Nguyen Huu Canh Street, passing Chu Van An Primary School.
Currently, the authorities in Quang Binh province are carrying out procedures to protect the scene, advising people not to travel or be curious to the area where the accident just occurred to avoid other unfortunate incidents that may occur.
