Search for missing fishermen at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - The Border Guard Command of Nghe An province continues to deploy forces including 2 boats of Squadron 2 and the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port to carry out the task of searching for fisherman Ngo Van Doan (born in 1979, residing in Xuan Duong hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district) who fell into the sea on February 24.

Previously, at 11:00 a.m. on February 24, Mr. Ngo Van Doan (owner of a fishing boat without a registered license plate) was fishing in buoy area No. 05 (coordinates 18046'N - coordinate 105046'E), about 1.5 km northeast of Cua Hoi beach, the winch broke, causing Mr. Ngo Van Tuan (born in 1968, residing in Tay Hoa block, Nghi Hoa ward, Cua Lo town) and Mr. Ngo Van Doan to fall into the sea. There were 2 fishermen on the boat.

At 5:30 p.m. the same day, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan was able to swim to Ngu Island and was taken care of by the island's officers and soldiers. His health has gradually recovered. Mr. Ngo Xuan Doan's family requested rescue assistance from the authorities.
After receiving the news, the Provincial Border Guard Command directed the Border Guard Station at Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port to coordinate with local authorities to verify the information and notify boats operating near the area of the location of the ship in distress to come and assist and rescue.
At 7:30 p.m. on February 24, 2 boats with 12 officers and soldiers of Squadron 2 and the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port were mobilized to carry out the search and rescue mission for fishermen who fell at sea.
At 7:30 a.m. on February 25, the search and rescue team found the fishermen's boat anchored near buoy number 05, but fisherman Ngo Van Doan is still missing.
It is known that Mr. Doan (born in 1979), about 1m70 tall, residing in Xuan Duong hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district, Mr. Doan has just returned to Vietnam after more than ten years working in Korea.
On the morning of February 26, two boats and officers continued to search for the missing victims at sea.
