Believing her new boyfriend, the girl was scammed out of nearly 5 billion VND
Trusting and following the man she had just met, Ms. H. transferred nearly 5 billion VND to do the task but was unable to withdraw the money. Realizing she had been scammed, she went to the police station to report.
On March 13, Hanoi City Police said that recently a woman in Chuong My districtfoolednearly 5 billion dong as an online collaborator.

Specifically, on March 7, Chuc Son Town Police (Chuong My District) received a report from Ms. H. (residing in Thanh Oai District) that she was scammed while working as an online order closing collaborator.
Ms. H. said that she had previously known a man in Ho Chi Minh City. In early March 2025, this man invited Ms. H. to participate in investing via social networks in the form of closing orders to receive commissions.
Ms. H. agreed and registered through the link, then transferred nearly 5 billion VND to "do the task" but could not withdraw the money. Realizing she had been scammed, she went to the police to report.
Hanoi City Police recommends that people be vigilant and inform their relatives and friends about the above tricks to avoid falling into the traps of bad guys.
When working as a collaborator for companies, businesses, and suppliers of goods and services, people need to clearly check information about the goods and suppliers through many different sources to verify accuracy.
Cases of advertising with high commissions and interest rates are likely tricks of scammers. If such cases are discovered, people should immediately report them to the police to quickly verify, prevent and handle violators according to the provisions of the law.
