President Macron's approval rating drops after pro-Ukraine statements
(Baonghean.vn) - According to survey results, French voters' satisfaction with President Emmanuel Macron has declined, following a series of statements about his readiness to support Ukraine through military measures.

According to Ria Novosti news agency, CNews (France) reported that French President Emmanuel Macron's credibility has declined significantly, after a series of statements about his readiness to support Ukraine through military measures.
"The decisions of the head of state are not approved by the French people. According to the Ifop survey published by Journal Du Dimanche on March 17, President Emmanuel Macron satisfies 28% of the French people (in February, this rate was 29%), and makes 72% of the French people dissatisfied (in February, this rate was 71%). The results of this satisfaction are related to the country's foreign policy" - CNews said.
Ifop director Frédéric Dabi explained that the very strong dissatisfaction with the president is mainly focused on Ukraine and the issue of sending troops from Western countries to the battlefield, during the conference on Ukraine on February 26.
The percentage of voters who are “very dissatisfied” with their leader increased by 4 points in March. According to Frédéric Dabi, such figures “have not appeared in this chart, related to an international issue, since September 2013”, when the previous President François Hollande was considering intervention in Syria. At that time, Mr. Hollande’s approval rating dropped by 10 points.
The survey was conducted on 2,017 people, representative of the French population aged 18 and over, through a self-administered online questionnaire between March 6 and March 14.
French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal's approval rating has also dropped. According to the same survey, 55% of French people are dissatisfied with the Prime Minister (down from 52% in February), and 45% are still satisfied (up from 48% last month)./.
