Indian media on August 22 spread information that two large-scale power outages across half of India's territory at the end of July were the work of Chinese intelligence.

After investigation, Indian intelligence agencies discovered components imported from China mixed in India's "problematic" national power grid system. Currently, Indian authorities are investigating two Indian companies that imported these components from China.

Initially, many thought that the power outage that hit half of India on July 30 was due to high electricity consumption in some areas. However, Indian intelligence agencies found that this was not the main cause.

Indian intelligence agencies have accused Chinese intelligence of using computer hardware and components sold to the country to gather intelligence and step up attacks on India. Many news channels have also reported that China is preparing for a cyber attack against India with the help of computers and some special equipment.

“By 2017, China will become a master of covert sabotage. Chinese intelligence sabotage of India’s power grid will slow the country’s economic development, hampering its growth prospects.New Delhi", Indian intelligence agency said.
