On the afternoon of January 10, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Youth Union Secretariat held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in 2021 and deploy tasks for 2022. At the conference, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Youth Union Secretariat received the Emulation Flag of the Central Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

Spreading the spirit of volunteering among union members and youth

In 2021, through the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the work of the Youth Union, Association and youth movement in Nghe An was actively and effectively implemented by the Youth Union and Association at all levels. The Youth Union and Association organizations have innovated in implementation methods so that action programs are suitable to the practical situation, to join the political system in both preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and developing the socio-economy, completing the assigned tasks.

Determining the theme of work in 2021 as "Youth start-ups and careers", right from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has developed an implementation plan, focusing on 3 main groups of solutions: Raising awareness and knowledge about start-ups and careers among young people; Organizing activities to support young people in starting businesses and careers; Organizing competitions and awards to select, commend and replicate models and typical young people in starting businesses and careers.

Activities to accompany young people in careers, jobs, and startups are focused on by Youth Union - Association bases to support rural youth in effectively implementing the program "One Commune One Product"; consolidate and promote the connecting role of district-level youth economic clubs. Improve the quality and efficiency of youth cooperatives. Organize registration to support poor youth households to escape poverty sustainably; support the application of high technology in production.

Regarding volunteer activities for the community, to support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, Nghe An youth have adopted the motto "Pioneer - Mutual Support - Adaptation" to reactivate rapid response teams, shipper teams to help people go to the market, invent automatic disinfection chambers; produce free hand sanitizer, build "Zero-dong stalls", "Covid-19 Diary"...

Continue to enhance the role of union members and youth

Speaking at the conference, comrade Hoang Dinh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Youth Union and the youth movement of Nghe An youth. The movements and activities of the Youth Union are increasingly becoming more substantial, effective, clear, specific, with many innovations and creativity attracting high consensus and support from Party committees, authorities at all levels and society.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission also oriented 5 key tasks in the coming time to continue promoting the youth's strength to achieve the set goals. At the same time, the Youth Union - Association organization becomes a solid support for young union members in starting a business; fostering life ideals and improving capacity in the new period.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Le Van Luong emphasized that 2022 is a year of many important events, requesting that all levels of the Youth Union perform well 6 key tasks. Specifically, it is necessary to effectively organize and implement youth works and tasks to welcome the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province and the 12th National Youth Union Congress for the 2022-2027 term.

Seriously rectify the work of union member management; enhance the position and role, effectively carry out the inspection and supervision work of the Union at all levels; direct, orient and consolidate the organizational system of the Association and the Young Pioneers at all levels. Especially support the start-up and career activities of young people.

At the same time, the Youth Union and Association at all levels, together with socio-political organizations at all levels, join hands to repel the Covid-19 epidemic. Innovate the implementation of Youth Union work and youth movements to adapt to the epidemic situation.

1. The Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union awarded the Emulation Flag for excellent units in Youth Union work and youth movement to 10 collectives with the most outstanding achievements; awarded Certificates of Merit to 43 collectives and 48 individuals for "Having outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movement in 2021".

3. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the youth movement in 2021.

4. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee awarded Emulation Flags to 8 collectives that achieved excellent titles in Youth Union work and youth movement at the district level in 2021; awarded Certificates of Merit to 46 collectives and 43 individuals for "Having outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movement in 2021".

6. The Provincial Youth Union awarded the Emulation Flag to 6 district-level collective units; awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 district-level collective units with outstanding achievements; awarded Certificates of Merit to 39 collectives and 21 individuals at the grassroots level in the province with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movements.
