Nghe An Provincial Youth Union - Launching response to Youth Month

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning (February 29), Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a ceremony to launch Youth Month 2012 with the theme "Nghe An Youth join hands to build new rural areas and act for traffic safety and order".

Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of the Central Youth Union, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments and branches at the department level and a large number of youth union members.

With the motto "Each youth does a good deed, each Youth Union unit does a practical activity to participate in building new rural areas and contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order", Youth Month is an opportunity for young people to express their revolutionary enthusiasm, volunteer competition, take the initiative in developing the socio-economy, maintaining national security and defense, and enhancing the responsibility of young people in the new era.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Victory flag to the youth volunteer teams.



The Provincial Youth Union donated 100 million VND to build a boarding house for foster parents at Tam Hop Secondary School (Tuong Duong).



Youth Union members march to promote traffic safety

In order for the activities of Youth Month to be widely organized from the grassroots, ensuring practicality, specificity and effectiveness, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union organized the campaigns "Nghe An Youth join hands to build new countryside"; "Responding to the National Traffic Safety Year 2012", and focused on a number of main activities such as: registering to undertake and build rural roads, bridges, intra-field canal systems, organizing volunteer youth teams to participate in propaganda, maintaining traffic safety order, organizing environmental protection activities, consulting on exam season, vocational guidance, introducing jobs for young people, and focusing on community life.

Strive for 100% of grassroots youth organizations to have youth projects and tasks; the provincial Youth Union will repair 250 km of rural roads, coordinate the construction of 5 new cultural houses and boarding houses for the people; each grassroots youth organization will organize at least one activity to carry out the campaign "Sentimentality of the border and islands"...

After the launching ceremony, a large number of youth union members marched to promote traffic safety on the main roads of Vinh City.
