Nghe An Provincial Youth Union presented 25 national flags at Hon La Island, Quang Binh
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 28, the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam Student Association held an inauguration ceremony for the national flagpole on Hon La Island, located in Quang Dong Commune, Quang Trach District, Quang Binh Province.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrade Le Quoc Phong - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Quang Binh province. Comrade Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Student Association of Nghe An province led the Nghe An delegation to attend the ceremony.

The flagpole built on Hon La Island is part of the program of building national flagpoles on outpost islands across the country by the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam Student Association. This project has a total construction cost of more than 1.1 billion VND, completed after 3 months of construction by the Economic Construction Youth Union (under the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union).

The flagpole is 22.66m high, including the following items: the pole body, the stainless steel flagpole, the yard and the reliefs. The entire pole body is covered with granite and is fully inscribed with information and coordinates...
At the program, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Student Association presented 25 large-sized national flags to Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union. This is a meaningful gift showing solidarity among youth and students and is also one of the practical activities towards the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.

After the inauguration ceremony, the delegation also offered flowers and incense in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island.
