Fire Police extinguished Vinh market fire after 20 minutes

The drill with a hypothetical situation: At 8:00 p.m. on October 3, at stall number 308, the 2nd floor of Vinh Market's main hall, a fire broke out due to an electrical problem. As soon as the fire broke out, the on-site fire fighting force of Vinh Market Management Board, consisting of 54 people, used water and fire extinguishers to carry out fire fighting and rescue measures and called the Fire Police.

Upon receiving the news, the Provincial Fire Police mobilized forces including Fire Police Department No. 1, Department 4 (Rescue Department) and Fire Police Department No. 7 including 70 officers and soldiers, 5 fire trucks, 2 pumping station vehicles, 1 command vehicle and Vinh City Police force to participate in fire fighting.

Arriving at the scene at 20:10, the forces had deployed the fire fighting team, the fire trucks simultaneously used water sprayers, directly controlled and extinguished the fire. At the same time, the rescue team used technical measures to quickly bring the victims and property out.

After 10 minutes, with the ingenuity and bravery of the provincial Fire Police, the fire was completely controlled and extinguished, and the injured were rescued from the scene. The authorities are stabilizing the situation and protecting the scene to serve the investigation of the cause and damage of the fire.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the drill, Colonel Le Quoc Bao - Deputy Director of the Provincial Fire Police, emphasized that Vinh Market is the largest wholesale market in the Central region with nearly 3,500 businesses, containing a large amount of goods with high explosive properties. If a fire breaks out, it will seriously affect the economic, political and social situation in the area.

Therefore, the drill is very important, aiming to strengthen prevention and also an opportunity to propagate, disseminate knowledge, raise awareness and responsibility for fire prevention for people. At the same time, it helps Vinh Market Management Board and traders to always be ready and proactively respond to possible fire and explosion incidents; quickly extinguish the fire, minimizing damage caused by fire and explosion.

The exercise is also an opportunity to evaluate the command and control capacity of firefighting tactics and operations of many forces to ensure compliance with practical requirements.
