On August 14th, the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense issued Official Document No. 172/VP-PCTT, directing proactive measures to respond to natural disasters in the coming days.
The official document states: According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, over the next 10 days (from August 14th to August 24th), there is a possibility of a low-pressure area forming over the East Sea (which may develop into a tropical depression), along with thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at sea, widespread heavy rain, and a high risk of tornadoes, lightning, flash floods, landslides, and localized flooding in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa - Hue, the Central Highlands, and the Southern region.

For inland areas:Closely monitor warnings, forecasts, and developments regarding heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, flash floods, landslides, and flooding; proactively implement response measures to minimize damage.
