Nghe An province works with the Korean Business Association on promoting investment attraction
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 27, Nghe An organized a meeting between the Korean Business Association and infrastructure enterprises to promote investment support in Nghe An.
Attending the meeting on behalf of Nghe An province were Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone and other sectors.
On the investor side, there is Mr. Jun Hyun Soo - General Director of SangWoo Company, Chairman of D Association.Korean enterprisesinvestment in Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Korean enterprises, industrial park infrastructure investors.
Nghe An - an attractive investment destination
After his welcome speech, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the purpose of the meeting was to understand the wishes and aspirations of Korean enterprises when investing in Nghe An, and what the government can support investors with. He also informed about the potential and strengths of Nghe An.
Nghe An is located in the center of the North Central region with 21 administrative units, including: 01 city, 3 towns and 17 districts. In which, Vinh city is a class 1 urban area, the economic and cultural center of the province and the entire North Central region. Nghe An is the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh - an outstanding cultural celebrity, a land famous for its tradition of studiousness, good study, diligence and creativity; It is the center of education and training of the North Central region with 7 universities, 11 training colleges and a system of vocational and technical training schools, fully meeting the human resource needs of investors.

In addition to the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone, Nghe An province also has 6 industrial parks (IPs) added by the Prime Minister to the list of industrial parks nationwide in Document No. 2244/TTg-KTN dated December 22, 2008, with a total area of 1,660 hectares. Including the IPs: Bac Vinh (60 hectares), Nghia Dan (200 hectares), Tri Le (200 hectares), Song Dinh (300 hectares), Tan Ky (600 hectares) and Phu Quy (300 hectares) in the districts: Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Tan Ky, Anh Son; Thai Hoa town and Vinh city.
In Nghe An province, there are currently 28 FDI projects from Korea with a total committed investment capital of 158.13 million USD in diverse industries such as garment, electronic components manufacturing, telecommunications equipment... attracting more than 15,000 workers.
Currently, Nghe An province focuses on calling for Korean investors to invest in the following fields: High-tech industry; Supporting industry (manufacturing of accessories, parts, components, structures, parts, spare parts, machinery and equipment details... supplying the mechanical assembly industry, electricity - electronics, information technology, automobiles, petrochemical industry, thermal power); Logistics (Seaport logistics); Mechanical engineering, high-grade tiles; high-grade sanitary ceramics, production of new materials, textiles and some other fields...

Responding to comments from investors, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee acknowledged valuable comments to continue to accompany and support investors. Nghe An holds a meeting every 3 months of the Business Association, inviting the Chairman of the Korean Business Association to attend and inviting businesses with problems that need to be resolved.
Nghe An will also prioritize the second vaccination for businesses. Regarding the concerns of Korean businesses about the highway, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa also said that investors can rest assured because the progress is urgent.
