Nghe An Province and National Economics University will sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Nghe An province were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Trong Hoang - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

On behalf of the National Economics University, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat congratulated the success ofThe 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025; congratulate comrade Thai Thanh Quy on being highly trusted by the Congress and elected to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.

Recalling that 20 years ago, for the first time, the National Economics University opened a postgraduate training class outside the main campus of the University in Hanoi in Vinh City, Nghe An, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat affirmed that there has been a very good tradition of cooperation between the province and the University, and at the same time assessed that the potential for coordination and promoting cooperation between the two sides is still very large.

On that basis, the Chairman of the Council of the National Economics University said that, in addition to the mission of training human resources, the school wishes to contribute more not only at the central level but also at the provincial level, especially to Nghe An - a sacred land, with talented people, the largest area in the country, a large population, a tradition of studiousness, diligence, hard work, and a rich revolutionary tradition.

Promoting the tradition of cooperation between the University and the province, Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat said that the National Economics University has all majors and fields of economic training, especially new majors such as digital economics, big data processing, logistics... which have attracted great attention from society.

With its role and experience, the School is ready to cooperate with the province to contribute to the process of planning, implementing, deploying, and building socio-economic development programs to implement the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

Informing the delegation of the National Economics University about some of Nghe An's basic achievements, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy said: The 19th Provincial Party Congress has identified specific development goals for the 2020 - 2025 period; in which, the general goal is:Strive to become a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2025 and a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2030.

Thanking the National Economics University for training and nurturing many generations of children of Nghe An province, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy hopes to continue receiving the cooperation and assistance of the University inhuman resource training- This is one of the three development breakthroughs identified by the province in the new term; at the same time, research and develop socio-economic development strategies, and provide policy feedback to help Nghe An develop further.

In addition, the National Economics University can support Nghe An specifically in the following areas: Tourism development, innovative startups; training and fostering teaching staff and improving management capacity for universities and economic faculties of universities in the province; helping the province connect with international cooperation, attract investors, etc.
