JICA organization surveys tourism potential in Nghe An

During the survey, the delegation worked with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade on the situation of rural development and expectations in cooperation with the tourism industry, learning about the ability and plan to develop local products, product labels for marketing to tourists; the delegation worked with Vocational College No. 1, Nghe An College of Tourism - Trade (Cua Lo) on the program of developing human resources specializing in tourism, restaurant - hotel services...; met with tourism businesses: Nghe An Tourism Joint Stock Company, Anh Em Travel Trading and Tourism Company Limited, Truong Son Tourism Company to collect related data and information.

The delegation also conducted a field survey at Hoa Tien 1 and Hoa Tien 2 villages, Chau Tien commune, Quy Chau district. Interviewed local authorities and communities. During the field survey, Ando Katsuhiro was very impressed with the potential for community tourism, rural and village tourism in Nghe An. Specifically, in addition to the main tourist destinations such as Cua Lo, Vinh, Kim Lien - Nam Dan, he was very impressed with the potential for community tourism in Quy Chau, Con Cuong (where Pu Mat National Park is located and is an important part of the World Biosphere Reserve), rural tourism, spiritual tourism in Yen Thanh district; Ban Nua tourism.

Through the survey and working trip, he has collected a lot of useful information to advise JICA in the coming time to provide necessary support for Nghe An province in the fields of economy, culture and society, including community tourism, rural tourism, and village tourism (areas that the expert has been interested in and researched)./.
