The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has just held a meeting to collect comments on the draft Plan to implement Directive 45/CP-TU of the Politburo "on innovation, improving the effectiveness of organizing anniversaries, awarding ceremonies, receiving state honorary titles and high forms of rewards" and Instruction No. 03 of the Central Propaganda Department on implementing Directive 45. Comrade To Hong Hai - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the meeting.
According to the delegates, the issuance of plans at the provincial level should adhere to the regulations and instructions of the Central Government. Particularly for holidays and anniversaries related to Nghe An, it is necessary to review events to organize celebrations as well as appropriate activities. Concluding the meeting, comrade To Hong Hai emphasized: Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the whole society need to clearly understand the regulations on major holidays of the country, of sectors and localities in round years (meaning the anniversary year with the last digit being "5") and the remaining years will only organize flower offerings, incense offerings and organize commemorative activities but not organize commemorative rallies.
The commemorative activities must be truly practical, meaningful, and not ostentatious or formal. He also assigned the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Emulation and Reward Committee, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to unify the form of organizing commemorative activities and festival activities that honor historical and cultural values and limit waste of the State and society. At the same time, there must be good measures to propagate the implementation of Directive 45 of the Politburo and Instruction 03 of the Central Propaganda Department, creating consensus and response throughout society.
